Project Background & Core Challenges:
Located in a key industrial park in Malaysia, this water supply project involved a damaged section of a DN200 ductile iron pipe (DIP) with severe localized cracks. The issue was driven by aging infrastructure combined with tropical, rain-heavy local conditions, high soil acidity, and frequent micro-movements in the ground.
The engineering contractor faced extremely strict site constraints:
Zero Downtime Mandate: The main line supplies critical production water to the entire industrial zone. Municipal regulations strictly prohibited large-scale shutoffs, requiring repairs to be completed under pressure without interrupting water supply.
Severe Underground Corrosion: High-temperature, high-humidity soil creates an aggressive corrosive environment. Standard carbon steel or low-grade clamps would quickly rust and fail, leading to recurring leaks and costly repeat maintenance.

360° mesh seal suitable for irregular pipe surfaces: Equipped with an imported high-elasticity EPDM waffle mesh rubber gasket featuring a unique grid-embossed structure. Upon tightening, it delivers 360° full-circumferential radial sealing pressure, securely enveloping the damaged area while accommodating pipe surface irregularities.
High-Pressure Resistance for Industrial Standards: Thoroughly factory tested, Runtaida repair clamps meet PN10 / PN16 standards (operating pressure up to 16 bar), fully satisfying the high-pressure demands of industrial mainlines in Malaysia.
